Henderson Innovation Park

The Henderson Texas Economic Development Corporation is proud to announce Henderson Innovation Park, our newest endeavor aimed at accelerating economic development. This bold initiative marks a significant milestone in Henderson’s economic trajectory over the past 25 years.

According to Mayor Fullen, who officiated at the groundbreaking ceremony, Henderson Innovation Park is set to become a key driver for new business ventures, job creation, and capital investment, and he extended his gratitude to all partners instrumental in making this transformative project a reality.

Situated strategically in northwest Henderson, Henderson Innovation Park spans an impressive 300 acres. Nestled between Loop 571, State Hwy 323, and FM 2276, the park offers premium sites ranging from 1 to 40 acres. This ambitious $10 million project includes the provision of crucial amenities such as sewer and water service, storm drains, electricity, natural gas, sidewalks, and streets. We are also in the final stages of development for fiber optic design, entry monument signs, and a picturesque green space complete with recreational trails around a scenic lake.

Henderson Innovation Park presents a pivotal opportunity for prospective entrepreneurs. The environment is conducive to growth and innovation, making it an attractive destination for new businesses. Through the development of the Henderson Innovation Park, we have taken a remarkable step toward unlocking Henderson’s immense economic potential.

Industrial and Manufacturing in Henderson

Henderson, once the gateway for settlers venturing into Texas, continues to be an appealing destination due to its ideal climate, ample water resources, and beautiful landscapes. Today, Henderson is home to a vibrant economy, with more than 470,000 residents living within a 35-mile radius, and over 670,000 within 45 miles.

Over the years, Henderson has evolved into an influential agricultural and industrial center in East Texas, and the future looks even brighter. Enhanced by reliable water resources and superior highway infrastructure, Henderson ensures efficient transportation of goods and availability of rail service via a short line railway.

Since witnessing a surge in industrial development following the East Texas oil boom in the 1930s, Henderson has seen consistent growth in sectors like brick manufacturing, specialty product manufacturing, food processing, metal fabrication, and timber-related industries.

Most of our industrial companies are strategically located within our three industrial parks – the Henderson Industrial Park, Southwest Industrial Park, and Preston Road Industrial Park – further enhancing the city’s economic landscape.
